Gourmade Beef Bourguignon (Serves 1)


Inspired by a French chef at a beautiful hotel in the Yorkshire Dales! My husband and I were on a business holiday (similar to a bus-man’s!). When we eat out we like to choose something different to each other so we can try two dishes! I chose Beef Bourguignon with celeriac mash, and I wasn’t disappointed. Just everything a Beef Bourg should be. And just like ours – Mouth-watering chunks of British beef slowly cooked in red wine with mushrooms, shallots, thyme and smoked back bacon. This rich and comforting Beef Bourguignon is best enjoyed with a side of our delicious Potato Dauphinoise and a glass of red… enjoy!


Serves 1 – 350g
Water, Cooked Marinated Beef (28%) [Beef, Water, Salt, Maize Starch, Lemon Juice], Onions (17%), Mushrooms (5%), Shallots (4%), Red Wine, Cooked Smoked Bacon (2%) [Pork, Salt, Antioxidant (Sodium ascorbate), Preservative (Sodium nitrite)], Tomato Puree, Unsalted Butter (Milk), Thickener (Acetylated distarch adipate), Rapeseed Oil, Garlic Puree, Oregano, Malt Extract (Barley), Thyme, Salt, Ground Black Pepper.
